I've just written out 40 invitations for V's birthday and think I've made a BIG mistake.
In all of them.
No, not the date or the place.
Where it says FOR, I've put in the name of the person the invitation is for. Is that correct? Was I meant to write WHO the party is for?
I put V's name where it says GIVEN BY.
Is that ok? Have I done it wrong?
Someone please let me know either way! Not that I can do much about it now…

I’d have said the same actually. It’s like the person who made them has mistranslated To and From.

for should be who the party is for (vinay) and given by should be the host (you & hubby)
the big thing is getting the invitation for many. the details are not as impo IMO!
