The lovely Red Rose Mummy tagged me in this new meme (created by Kate at The Five Fs). All you have to do is give a whole load of facts based on the day you were born. This is where Wikipedia comes in handy!

George Harrison – He was one of The Beatles. He died in 2001. He released ‘Got My Mind Set On You’ in 1987, which will forever remind me of my brother and sister.

Veronica Webb – Supermodel and actress. She was the first African-American to get a major cosmetics contract (Revlon).

Chelsea Handler – American comedienne and actress. She hosts a show (Chelsea Lately) on channel E! and is absolutely hilarious!

Tennessee Williams – American playwright. She won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for A Street Car Named Desire and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

In 1932 Adolf Hitler obtained German citizenship by naturalization. This allowed him to run for German head of state in the next elections.

In 1945, during World War II, Turkey declared war on Germany.

In 1986 Corazon Aquino became the first woman president of the Philippines.

Tell us about a holiday that falls on your birthday.

February 25th is ‘People Power Day’ in the Philippines. The People Power Revolution started in 1983 and ended in 1986. It led to the departure of President Ferdinand Marcos and the restoration of democracy.

Apart from that, it was usually half-term around the time of my birthday 🙂
